The High Cost of Ignoring a Toothache: Karlito’s Dental Disaster (A Cautionary Tale)

The First Warning Sign

It started as a dull ache—an annoying pressure in the back of Karlito’s jaw. His dentist took one look at the X-ray and delivered the verdict: "Your wisdom tooth is impacted. If we don’t remove it soon, it could damage the tooth next to it."

Dental Implants Ireland vs Philippines: Why Many Patients Travel

Dental implant treatment in Ireland is primarily provided through private dental clinics. Similar to the UK, public healthcare systems generally do not cover dental implants except in rare medical cases.

Average prices in Ireland include:

Single dental implant: €2,000 – €3,500
Implant with crown: €3,000 – €4,500
All-on-4 implants: €15,000 – €25,000 per arch
Full mouth implants: €30,000 – €50,000

These costs can be difficult for many patients, especially those requiring multiple implants.

Dental implant forums #1 - global community

I'm going to have All on 4 in December. I have the cost of the implants and the acrylic denture; however, when I ask my dentist (not the surgeon placing the implants) about the cost difference between the acrylic and the zirconia, he just says they're expensive. I really want to know the cost. Has anyone in the US priced both and willing to give me a general idea of the cost difference?

response1: I am paying $18,000 for lower arch. Does not include the surgeons cost
